The timing for submitting a customs declaration varies depending on the mode of transportation. For maritime transport, it is advisable to submit the declaration within a period of ninety days. However, for non-maritime imports, the recommended timeframe is twenty days. It is important to note that these deadlines may differ if an additional application is filed.

Extract from the commercial register or certificate of business activity registration: This document serves as proof of the company's registration in the commercial register or business activity registry.

- Authorization for goods declaration: An authorization granting permission to declare the goods is required to ensure that the person responsible for the shipment is authorized to act on behalf of the company.

- Names and addresses of the parties involved: the seller and the buyer.

- Place and date of issuance.

- Accurate description of the goods, including quantity and value in an internationally exchangeable currency

(indicated by a three-letter international symbol).

- Product code (according to the Harmonized System HS).

If the original invoice is not accessible, a duplicate of the invoice may be accepted as a valid document for determining the customs value of goods. However, this is only applicable if the value of the duplicate invoice does not exceed 70 EURO or for goods that have a zero or suspended customs rate.

The price of the service ranges from 30-150 GBP, depending on the location of clearance and the complexity involved. Additional items (custom codes) on the declaration are usually subject to payment as well, such as 3 GBP per item. Additionally, utilizing the aforementioned security measure entails associated fees.

This includes declaring the value of the goods and indicating any special interest amount related to their delivery. Furthermore, the sender's instructions to the carrier regarding insurance coverage for the shipment should be clearly stated.
